My Beauty Cravings: April 2013

Spring is finally upon us. Well technically, the first official day of Spring was actually last month, but here in Boston the flowers are just starting to peak their frosted heads through the ground. So with the rising temperatures, of course that only means one thing: it's time for me to start lusting after beauty products that are going to help achieve that glowy, fresh, oh hey let's pretend we're not as pale as we actually are Spring face. So here's what's on my beauty wish list for this month.

NARS Torrid Blush

Coral, peachy goodness. That's about all I can say about this gorgeous blush from NARS. Every time I walk into Sephora, which is probably too many times than I can safely admit, I casually stroll by the NARS section feeling the drool start to drip from my mouth. Torrid is a gorgeous warm coral with golden shimmer, according to the NARS website. I think it will be a great blush to really fake that glowly skin that we all know no one has just quite yet, but hey a girl can dream right?

 Benefit Sunbeam 

 Benefit's Sunbeam is another one of those products that I think can really help us achieve that I just got back from vacation glow. I mean come on, it's called Sunbeam, so when in reality it is still cloudy and overcast April, we can get a little sun somehow.

LORAC PRO Palette 

 Okay, so you may be a little bit confused about this next product. I mean while of course it is impossible to shun the beautiful PRO Palette from LORAC *shutter*, I can agree with you that it does not necessarily scream Spring time. However let me tell you a little something about myself, I am an eyeshadow junkie. To be honest, I am kind of just a makeup junkie in general, but eyeshadow will always hold a certain place in my heart. As a high school girl, I feel I have successfully mastered the perfect brown smokey eye, my go to eye look, and I can just already see this palette feeling right at home in my collection. With a wide variety of neutral options, this is truly an eyeshadow fanatic's dream. While of course my MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow will forever be my holy grail eyeshadow, I would love to clear out a spot in my drawer for this deliciously simple, yet gorgeous palette.

MAC Creme Cup Lipstick 

               

My final beauty product that I am officially lusting over this April is MAC's lipstick in Creme Cup. As aforementioned, I love to play up my eyes so I tend to stick to more nude colors for my lips, or just go sans lipstick all together. However this April, I really am loving this gorgeous light pink cult favorite from MAC. Excuse the fact that I am not mentioning a bright coral or hot fuchsia color more appropriate for Spring, but hey baby steps, right?

I'm not exactly sure who I'm fooling with my title here. Seeing as this is my first official post on my blog, I do not really know who I am welcoming other than myself to this whole new, and may I say confusing, world of blogging. For any of you who may be reading this, I am Meredith, a 17 year old girl living in the United States with a passion for all things beauty. Conveniently, I also have a love of writing, and so I thought hey maybe a blog would be a good way to, you know kill two birds with one stone?
